Student Health Insurance

Since Fall 2001, all HSC students are required to have health insurance while attending the HSC Campus. You may either participate in the student sponsored health insurance policy or show proof of acceptable insurance coverage by a recognized health insurance provider to your college Student Service Office. In the past, some colleges/programs require their students to obtain specific coverage through a health insurance agency. Therefore, please check with your college or department to insure your elected insurance meets the requirements of your college/program.

The HSC Student Association, alongside HSC Student Affairs, has selected a very competitive student health insurance policy provided by Macori, Inc., a division of America International Group. Student Health Services provided through your payment of the Student Health Fee will provide the routine health care including acute care visits and chronic illness management.

For those services not provided through the Student Health Service, the Macori policy will provide coverage for the services as defined in the Summary of Benefits. The student sponsored health insurance policy is made possible by combining the services provided through Student Health Services, paid for by the student health fee, with the additional coverage provided through the Macori Student Health Insurance Policy. Students selecting the Macori policy will be required to use the Student Health Service provided through the Family Medicine Clinic for those services provided to all students. The Macori policy provides for after hour, weekend and holiday emergencies with follow up care by the Student Health Service.

Enrollment forms and the Summary of Benefits for the Macori Student Health Insurance Policy are linked below for your use. You may obtain a hard copy of the complete information packet from the Student Services Office in your College, HSC Student Affairs in the David L. Boren Student Union, Suite 300, or from the Office of Admission and Records, Basic Sciences Educational Building, Suite 200.
