Intramural Sports
4v4 Co-Ed Soccer
A short list of how we play:
The Field:
The field is 40 yds by 25 yds (or wider)
The boundaries are marked with paint
The goals are 4 ft by 6 ft.
We have two fields (east and west). Located on the intramural field.
The Players
4 against 4 with at least one female player
Substitutions - at any stoppage - unlimited
The Equipment
Soccer balls are provided, but bring one if you want
Only soccer cleats allowed
No shin guards required, but recommended
The Referee
None, though the IM Coordinator will be present. He'll have the clock.
Two 15 minute halves with a 5 minute halftime
Players call out the score after each goal
Captains are responsible for their teams knowing the rules.
Physical Contact
Overall, very limited
No shoulder charges
No tripping
No slide tackles (automatic ejection)
And Finally
No penalty kicks
No offsides
